In the quiet, anticipation-filled hours on the eve of our journey to the Beaghmore Stone Circle, we performed a simple but profound act: we lit the first of two sacred candles created especially for this journey.
These candles were crafted by Aine, a long-standing friend and a beautiful soul who has walked alongside Where Angels Whisper for years. I was in awe when I first held her creation. Infused with pure moon energy, the vibrations radiating from the wax were undeniable—a testament to the love and intention Aine pours into everything she does.
Aine is a constant in my life, a woman from near my home place in Mayo who truly understands the texture of my spirit. She accepts me exactly as I am, and her contributions to our Meet The Malakims sessions—where she shares so freely from the book of her own life experiences—are a gift I deeply cherish. Being a sensitive soul, I am always protective of my sacred space; I thrive best in the company of those who are calm, kind, and hold a spark of joyful fun. Aine is exactly that.
A Beacon of Faith
Light is the cornerstone of the sacred energies we infuse into everything we do behind the scenes. It serves as our guide and our witness. Matthew 5:15-16 reminds us:
"Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others."
This scripture is a powerful call to move through the world without hiding our truth or our devotion. It urges us to let our actions become a bright flame—one that not only illuminates our own path but provides warmth and guidance to those around us.
Weaving the Light Through the Twelve
As we embark on this pilgrimage, visiting a new sacred site across the four corners of Ireland over the next 12 months, this flame becomes our constant companion. We are not just traveling; we are performing a living ritual. With every site we visit, we are weaving the light of this sacred candle into one of the Twelve Chakras, ensuring that The Way of the Twelve is anchored in strong, intentional spiritual foundations.
The Foundation: Just as the candle stands tall, our journey begins with consistency and dedication.
The Procession: From the Earth Star Chakra at Beaghmore to the Root Chakra at An Grianan Fort in Donegal, and eventually through all twelve energy centers, we are mapping the spirit onto the land.
The Illumination: Each flicker of the flame represents our commitment to shedding light on the hidden parts of ourselves and our collective history.
By lighting these candles, we are stating our intent clearly: we are here to shine. We are here to honor the ancestors, the land, and the sensitivity that makes us who we are.
As we prepare to head to An Grianan Fort for the July Full Moon to open the energies of the Root Chakra, I am reminded that we are building something that outlasts the moment. We are building a home for the spirit, one flame at a time.
